Britney Spears continued her ongoing feud with her family members on Tuesday in a blistering Instagram post in which she said she should have ‘slapped’ her mother and sister ‘across your f***ing faces.’
In her since-deleted post, 40-year-old singer–songwriter seemed to take aim at her sister Jamie Lynn Spears, 30, for seemingly having gotten a cushier upbringing and a starring role on TV when she was just a child.
She also lambasted her mother Lynne Spears for not being supportive to her in the wake of her breakup with Justin Timberlake.
Lashing out: Britney Spears, 40, continued her ongoing feud with family members on Tuesday in an Instagram post in which she said she should have ‘slapped’ her mother and sister ‘across your f***ing faces’
Britney’s last post featured a stock photo of sweet holiday drinks, which seemed to be a dig at her sister, who she wrote was enjoying similar beverages.
She recounted seeing her sister lounging at home after she returned from her split with Timberlake in 2002.
‘I flew home to Jamie Lynn on the couch watching her tv shows right after Justin and I broke up… I was a ghost there!!!!!’ she wrote. ‘I had worked my whole life and I didn’t know how to be served by Mamma … Sit there and get served the chocolate milkshakes with the perfectly crushed ice with the secret chunky sugar meanwhile Jamie Lynn is 12, she indulges with the TV for hours then goes to lay out on a raft at the pool.’
The singer added that she was ‘in shock because this was never my life,’ adding that Timberlake’s ‘family was all I knew for many years.’

Stolen glory: She seemed to intimate that her successful music career and reputation was the reason her sister was added to the main cast of Nickelodeon’s All That in 2002
The Toxic singer seemed to imply that her own fame may have played a role in Jamie Lynn joining the main cast of Nickelodeon’s kid-friendly sketch comedy series All That in 2002.
‘Things were different now and Jamie Lynn had a new Nickelodeon show … All I remember saying was “DAMN !!! How the hell does a 12 year old land a Nickelodeon show ????” ….. HMMMMMMMM ….’ she continued.
Spears continued, suggesting she never got the display of support that she was hoping for from her mother or sister.
‘Well I never got my iced chocolate drink !!!’ she complained. ‘I mean yeah … I’m grown up right ??? But then maybe I might need a little support … It was a People Magazine cover … The people show up and as Jamie Lynn says, I was scared !!!! F*** yeah !!!’
Shocking claim: Britney appeared to respond to Jamie Lynn’s claims in her new memoir that the singer said she was ‘scared’ in a 2004 incident and allegedly locked them in a room while holding a knife; seen together in 2005
Britney appeared to be responding to Jamie Lynn’s claims in her upcoming memoir Things I Should Have Said that Britney at one point said she was ‘scared’ and locked herself and Jamie Lynn in a room while holding a knife.
‘One time, she said to me, “Baby, I’m scared,” and took a large knife from the kitchen, pulled me along to my room and she locked us both inside,’ the actress wrote, via The Sun.
However, Britney’s sister described the alleged incident as happening in 2004, following her marriage to Jason Alexander, now 39, while the singer’s breakup from Timberlake, now 40, occurred in 2002.
Harsh words: ‘I’m sorry Jamie Lynn, I wasn’t strong enough to do what should have been done … slapped you and Mamma right across your f***ing faces !!!!!’ Britney wrote
The pop superstar additionally claimed that her mother Lynne was incapacitated by medication when she returned home.
‘My Mamma was on pain medication and could barely hold a conversation in the house because her and my dad split and she was more messed up than anything !!!!’ she alleged. ‘I remember her sitting on the floor in a conversation and she never got up…’
Spears reserved her harshest words for her sister and mother at the conclusion of her lengthy caption.
‘I’m sorry Jamie Lynn, I wasn’t strong enough to do what should have been done … slapped you and Mamma right across your f***ing faces !!!!!’ she wrote.

‘I would honestly be very interested to see your pretty face in the setting I was forced to be in and asking yourself “DO I MATTER ???” I didn’t get to cry … I had to be strong … TOO STRONG !!!
But she seemed to end her post with words of reassurance for her little sister, which were out of place among her recent messages.
‘So yes … YOU DO MATTER and don’t you ever think for one f***ing second you don’t. Pssss this is my new …Baby One More Time outfit !!!!,’ she concluded.

Spears has been feuding publicly with her sister Jamie Lynn on and off in recent weeks, even going so far as to refer to her sister as a ‘scum person’ following her claims about Britney holding a knife.
But over the weekend, the singer struck a more conciliatory tone in a statement in which she reiterated her love for her young sister, even as she accused of her treating her ‘like nothing’ and taking days to respond to her phone calls during her conservatorship.
But Jamie Lynn responded in kind, telling Britney to chat with her about her grievances ‘privately’ and to ‘stop continuing the narrative that I haven’t been there for you or that I’m making things up.’
The Zoey 101 actress appears to be trying to bolster her credibility by including a text message allegedly sent by her older sister to her in her new memoir.
‘I know it’s not your fault and I’m sorry for being so angry at you. Although I’m your big sister, I need you more than you need me and always have,’ the text apparently reads, according to Just Jared.
Last year, Britney succeeded in ending her 13-year conservatorship, which was instituted following notorious breakdowns she suffered in 2007 and 2008.
The latest: Britney Spears’ sister Jamie Lynn’s new book Things I Should Have Said includes an alleged text message from the pop star. In her book, Jamie Lynn wrote that Britney allegedly texted her ‘I know it’s not your fault and I’m sorry for being so angry at you.
