Britney Spears reacts to latest documentary on her troubled life as she tells fans ‘I hate to inform you but a lot of what you heard is not true!’

Britney Spears is reacting to the latest documentary about her troubled life, from The New York Times, FX, and Hulu, titled ‘Controlling Britney Spears.

After admitting that she had watched some of the bombshell series – released Friday – the pop singer told fans that a lot of it is untrue.

Addressing fans in a lengthy Instagram post on Monday, she said: ‘I hate to inform you but a lot of what you heard is not true!’

One of the claims came from a former security member alleged that Britney’s father Jamie Spears had his daughter under constant surveillance during her conservatorship.

‘I watched a little bit of the last documentary,’ Britney admitted, and then appeared to sarcastically critique the program for painting her in an unflattering light.

‘I really try to disassociate myself from the drama! Number one… that’s the past !!! Number two… can the dialogue get any classier,’ she said with a series of emojis.

‘Number three … wow they used the most beautiful footage of me in the world !!! What can I say .. the EFFORT on their part,’ she added.

It seemed as though the singer was unhappy with the footage that the documentary makers had used of her, which she has complained about in the past.

She then made reference to her so-called Rose Project, that she has been discussing with fans on Instagram for the last few years.

The Toxic singer has referred to it in the past a ‘personal photo project’ when she will wear the same clothes in multiple different photos, though it is not quite clear why Britney was discussing this in relation to the documentary.

Britney said last year on Instagram: ‘Yes, I know, I did wear the same top 17 times, but it’s for a project, Project Rose. And you’ll be seeing way more of Project Rose in the future.’
