Britney Spears‘ co-conservator Jodi Montgomery is ‘concentrated on giving her the tools to get better’ according to a new report, and is claiming that ‘nothing shady is going on.’
Montgomery, an experienced conservator with a degree in social welfare, was brought on to co-manage Britney’s affairs in September 2019, when her father Jamie Spears, 68, became ill.
She has remained in charge of Britney’s personal affairs, working as her ‘care manager.’
On Tuesday, a source claimed to People Magazine that Montgomery has been ‘working with a team of experts concentrated on giving Britney the tools to get better.’

Britney, 39, is believed to have a mental health diagnosis that has never been revealed due to her sealed medical records, but the sources adds that ‘the hope is that she can eventually get out of the conservatorship.’
Care manager: Montgomery is an experienced conservator with a degree in social welfare
Last Wednesday, Britney alleged that her conservatorship is ‘abusive’ and even called out Montgomery, after it had previously been reported that the singer preferred her care manager over her father.
Britney said, in relation to Montgomery: ‘I’m talking to you today because I feel like Jodi is starting to kind of take it too far with me. They have me going to therapy twice a week and a psychiatrist.’
But People Magazine’s source claims that under California law, all conservators have to be investigated by the court, saying: ‘Progress has to be reported. Conservators are all closely monitored to assure nothing shady is happening.’
‘Even though Jamie is in charge of her finances, he still has to approve everything because everything is related to finances at the end of the day,’ the source adds.
‘If she wants to go to Hawaii, he has to approve that, because it costs money. If she wants to take her friends to dinner, he has to approve that, because it costs money. Jamie has the right to say no to certain things.’
Protesters gathered in Los Angeles on Wednesday ahead of the eagerly-anticipated hearing
Since the allegations last week in the hearing to request to end her conservatorship, Britney jetted off to Hawaii with longtime boyfriend Sam Asghari after describing the extent of her misery since her father was given almost complete control over her life and reported $60 million fortune in 2008.

Britney’s highly-publicized and contentious relationship with her once-estranged father has become has birthed ‘Free Britney’ movements worldwide among her fans and fellow celebrities concerned for her welfare.
It was revealed during the Wednesday hearing that Britney wants to end the conservatorship and that she has been opposing it quietly for the past seven years.
‘I want this conservatorship to end – I truly believe that this conservatorship is abusive,’ Spears told Judge Penny.
‘I want to be able to get married to my boyfriend and have a baby but the conservatorship told me I can’t do that,’ she continued.
‘I have an IUD (intrauterine device) inside me to prevent me from having a baby. I want to go to a doctor and take it out so I can have a baby but they (the conservatorship) told me no,’ she added.
‘I feel ganged up on and bullied and alone,’ the singer continued.
Couple: Britney, 39, and Sam, 27, who’ve been dating since 2016, are on holiday in Hawaii following her bombshell testimony last week in her ongoing conservatorship legal battle
‘I want changes. I want changes going forward, and I deserve changes. It’s my wish and dream for all of this to end.’
Meanwhile, Britney and boyfriend Sam Asghari have been enjoying a sun-kissed getaway to Hawaii following the pop star’s bombshell testimony last week in her conservatorship case.
And on Monday, the pop singer was seen working out with Asghari, 27, in a short video clip he posted to his Instagram.
In the clip, Sam shows off his impressive biceps as he flexes in front of a mirror as Britney works out on a treadmill behind him.
