Yesterday, she teased fans by sharing a 10-second teaser clip of a song called Happier Than Ever.

The track seems to be ushering in a new era of her music, alongside her more mainstream hue of blonde, as it was said the drastic hair change — which took six-weeks to do in a healthy way — was a symbol of ‘transformation.’

In her new video the camera zooms in on the back of a retro arm chair, as Billie croons in voiceover form: ‘I’m away from you, I’m happier than ever.’

She then turns around and stares hauntingly into the camera with her piercing blue eyes, before the emotive musical sensation gently leans her head back and shuts them in the clip’s closing shot.

Though much of her music is a bit cryptic the track’s lyrics and song titled, seem to be a nod at her last relationship with Brandon ‘Q’ Adams. They called it quits in 2019 after a year.

And in her documentary The World’s A Little Blurry, she touched on their sometimes explosive relationship and why they eventually broke up after she revealed she ‘wasn’t happy.’

‘I just wasn’t happy. And I didn’t want the same things he wanted and I don’t think that’s fair, for him. ‘I don’t think you should be in a relationship, super excited about certain things that the other person couldn’t care less about.’

Recently Billie has been seen cozying up to voiceover actor Matthew Tyler Vorce — perhaps one reason she is ‘happier than ever.’

She had first revealed her pandemic project to Stephen Colbert on The Late Show, as she continued to speak on evolving musically amid COVID-19 lockdown.
