The Channel Seven reality how attracted 617,000 metro five capital city viewers on Tuesday night, narrowly beating Celebrity Apprentice on 614,000.

Knocked off: Celebrity Apprentice Australia’s finale suffered a surprising defeat on Tuesday. The main portion of the episode notched 614,000 viewers, 3,000 less than Big Brother
Elsewhere, MasterChef (563,000) continued to struggle in its second season with new judges and ABC’s 7:30 (557,000) beat last-placed Anh’s Brush With Fame (523,000).

The season premiere did better than expected for Channel Nine, with 812,000 tuning in to see Lord Alan Sugar during the boardroom segment back in May.
The reality series was easily the highest-rated non-news program in the five-city metro ratings according TV Tonight at the time.

Ratings are calculated by the average amount of viewers watching across the entire program. Networks often take advantage by creating a ‘separate’ show for the eviction segment, which is typically the most viewed.
Celebrity Apprentice Australia did this with the premiere, which recorded 682,000 for the ‘launch’ portion of the episode and again with the finale (614,000).
Premiere vs Finale: The finale numbers were down on the premiere, which did 812,000 for the main portion of the show and 682,000 for the eviction segment
