The Voice coaches were reduced to tears by Bella Taylor Smith’s performance during Sunday night’s knockout rounds.

Jessica Mauboy, Rita Ora, Keith Urban and Guy Sebastian became emotional as they watched the church singer, 23, belt out Christina Aguilera’s The Voice Within.

Following Bella’s performance, Rita, 30, said: ‘I just think there’s levels, that was just so crazy next level and I feel like it’s you singing your song.

‘I think you are just so present with your story, present with who you are and where you come from and that’s the greatest part to stand up there and show the world who you really are,’ Jessica, 32, agreed.

Bella’s coach Guy Sebastian said: ‘You sing with the purest motive. You emanate to a lot of the other artists. You’re nurturing and so caring, you really listen and because you’re so pure inside that when you sing, people can’t help but be drawn to you and it’s unbelievable.’

He then revealed Bella was the first member of his team to progress to the semi-finals.

Earlier this month, Bella’s mesmerising audition of Ave Maria saw all four coaches turn their chairs.

‘I just have to say you could be on any stage. That voice is sublime,’ Guy cooed, adding he also performed in church.

‘I would absolutely kill to have you on my team. I think you have a future and I want to be part of it,’ Guy added.

Bella went on to choose Guy as her coach saying she felt he could get the most out of her vocal talents.

‘I think the coach I am going to go with is Guy,’ Bella said.

‘Oh my gosh. Your voice is crazy,’ Guy said, clearly elated.
