Five teams on The Block’s eleventh season in 2015 contributed to the renovation and design of an additional ‘challenge apartment’ at 1/1A Affleck Street in South Yarra.

And six years after being auctioned off, the three-bedroom pad is back on the market with hopes of selling for $1.695million in a private sale, reports Realestate.com.au.

According to Realestate.com.au, the octagonal apartment, part of the building that was once the seedy ‘Hotel Saville’, has not been altered by its sellers since it appeared on The Block.

After its facelift on the Channel Nine series, the apartment sold for $1.670 million in November 2015 and hasn’t been renovated since.

The property has three full-sized bedrooms with ensuites, a study, powder room, and a home cinema.

An impressive elements of the home is its modern kitchen, which boasts premium appliances, a butler’s pantry and a separate dining room.

The complex includes lift access, a communal rooftop terrace and a gym.

Marshall White Stonnington agent Nicholas Brooks told Realestate.com.au on Wednesday: ‘The size is by far the most compelling aspect of the apartment, given the location, it’s over 240sq m internally; to find an apartment that size in South Yarra you’re usually looking around the $4m mark.’

He explained that the unconventional octagonal floorplan placed the pad at a lower price point to other apartments its size on the market.

‘It’s boutique-style living with five apartments, as opposed to 200, and predominantly owner occupiers in the building.’
