Anti-Vaxxer videotaped attacking journalist in LA melee is linked to January 6 Capitol Riot

An outspoken critic of forced vaccines and mask mandates, who bragged about attending the January 6 riot at the Capitol, is seen in a video yanking a reporter’s face covering off during a Saturday melee involving Proud Boys and Antifa members.

Tony Moon – aka ‘RoofKorean7’ on Twitter, who has been outspoken about his Trump-supporting ideologies and described himself as a ‘2021 Antifa Hunter’ in his Twitter bio – has been a vocal leader against the ‘draconian’ LA lockdowns, and vaccine and mask mandates.

He was seen and heard yelling in videos, ‘Unmask them. Unmask them all.’

In a phone interview with DailyMail.com, Moon trotted out a conspiracy theory against the decades-long journalist, saying she ‘is not a reporter.’

‘They’re lieutenants directing foot soldiers. They have comms in their helmet,’ Moon told DailyMail.com

‘I was trying to get her away because she was antagonizing. I pulled off her mask to expose her. It’s part of their tactics. They were even using young kids with skateboards to show certain optics.’

The video shows him swinging a thermos at her but denies striking the reporter.

The journalist who was attacked – Tina-Desiree Berg – laughed at Moon’s accusation and sent DailyMail.com photos of the helmet she uses to protect herself.

‘These guys are targeting the press,’ Berg told DailyMail.com.

‘They’re saying, “I’m Antifa paparazzi.” I think it’s a just an amount of time before they shoot someone. Because of none of this is rational.

‘They literally think everyone is Antifa. There were kids like 13, 14 years old just skateboarding, and they go to the area near the headquarters because there are ramps. They said they were Antifa.’

The fighting started around 2pm after anti-vaxxers and anti-maskers – many of whom are affiliated with the Proud Boys – clashed with counter-protesters from Antifa outside the Los Angeles City Hall and Police Department – as the city reimposes stricter mandates because of rising COVID cases.

The Los Angeles police have issued one official statement since the incident – a Saturday tweet – confirming one person was stabbed and there were no arrests.

The statement didn’t mention a second stabbing or the attacks on at least two reporters.

Wearing a helmet and protective gear, Berg has been covering several of these incidents for Status Coup, which she said have become more frequent and increasingly violent in recent months.

She said one person was stabbed on each side of the fight, and she and another reporter were hit by multiple anti-vaxxers.

Berg said the anti-vaxxers, who were mostly Proud Boys and other far-right-wing groups, harassed the young skateboarders.

When counter-protestors intervened, the violence started.

Anti-vaxxers held the rally, dubbed the ‘Choose Freedom March,’ to protest against what they described as ‘medical tyranny’ of mandatory vaccinations and vaccine passports.

They were confronted by a counter-protest – calling itself ‘No Safe Space for Fascists’.

Both sides were seen in videos lining up in the street with fists raised and engaging in hand-to-hand combat. Both sides threw punches and wrestled to the ground.

Prison shank-like weapons and knifes were allegedly used to stab people on both sides.

Bloody chaos unfolded after the anti-vaxxers harassed the skateboarders in front of what appeared to be dozens of police officers, who didn’t immediately stop the fight.

Berg said it took about three minutes for police to get involved.

DailyMail.com left a message for the LAPD for more information.

‘The first guy who hit me came out of the left field and punched me,’ Berg told Dailymail.com.

‘Then (Moon) came over and yelling take their masks off. He came up to me, I told him to stop it and yelled, “F*** you.” But I was so focused on trying to keep filming. I caught three or four guys wailing on this kid. It was wild.’

Saturday’s street brawl started out as anti-vaxxers and anti-maskers protesting the city’s new mandates as the ‘Delta’ variant ravages parts of the country, including LA.

Last week, the Los Angeles City Council voted in favor of requiring proof of vaccination to enter public indoor spaces, such as restaurants, bars, gyms, concert venues, movie theaters and stores.

Moon recorded himself in a Twitter thread of videos outside the Capitol during the insurrection.

In one 30-second clip, he said, ‘So I’m on the steps. We’re taking the Capitol building, everywhere! Teargas couldn’t stop us! Look at all the patriots!’

DID YOU GO INSIDE. WHAT WAS IT LIKE. WHY DID YOU GO?

To date, Moon has not arrested in connection with the January 6 insurrection, according to a running list of suspects provided by the Department of Justice and FBI.

In mid-July, there was another huge brawl where 40 people were arrested following a transgender rights protest outside a spa in Koreatown.

Officers fired non-lethal projectiles to disperse the unruly mob, which became violent when Proud Boys and Antifa members joined the trans rights demonstration and clashed outside the spa.

Thirty nine of the arrests were for failure to disperse, LAPD told DailyMail.com

LAPD said that smoke bombs and other projectiles were thrown at officers trying to break up the crowd, and stun guns, knives and pepper spray were confiscated.

Berg said she wonders if these protests are actually about masks and vaccines, or if they’re a rallying cry in the far-right’s fight against anything they believe is against their freedom.’

‘This is a cultish group around Trump. These right-wing groups and gather and fight against anything against they believe is against the freedom. They think the mask is against freedom,’ she said.
