Chloe Lattanzi claims Instagram has shadow banned her account.

‘Shadow banning’ refers to when a person’s social media account is made less visible as punishment for sharing dangerous, false or misleading content.

While the offending user’s account is not deleted, the algorithm change makes their profile harder to find and also limits the reach of their posts. 

Lattanzi, 35, who the daughter of singer and actress Olivia Newton-John, is known for her anti-vaccination views, which may have resulted in her shadow ban.

She made the claim after sharing a text message from an unnamed friend informing her they ‘can’t view’ her Instagram Story.  

Lattanzi captioned the post: ‘Wonder why I keep getting shadow banned?’

Lattanzi has a history of sharing ill-informed and unscientific views about vaccines.

She has repeatedly downplayed the seriousness of the Covid-19 pandemic and shared conspiracy theories about the virus being part of a conspiracy.

‘I’m not an anti-vaxxer, I’m anti putting mercury and pesticides in my body, which are in a lot of vaccines,’ she told the Herald Sun in January.

‘To me real medicine is what comes from the earth. I think people trust vaccines because the doctor says it is safe. I used to.’

The Sharknado 5 actress, who has no medical qualifications, runs a cannabis farm in Oregon with her fiancé, James Driskill.
