At least six family members have been stabbed in their sleep at their home in Philadelphia, police said.
A 29-year-old man has been arrested following the attack at around 4 am on Friday morning on the 3000 block of North Front Street in Kensington.
Police said a family member went into the bedrooms of the house and stabbed six victims with two different kitchen knives, reports Fox 29.
The six victims of the attack, who have not been named, are between the ages of 26 and 46, police said.
A 46-year-old woman, believed to be the mother, is in a critical condition after being stabbed in the head and neck. Police said that the other victims are in a ‘mostly stable’ conditions.

A ‘bloody relative’ was found by officers three blocks away from the property near Front Street after family members described the suspect to police when they arrived at the scene, according to Fox29 reporter Steve Keeley.
The suspect was seen being wheeled away from the scene in handcuffs and put in a police van by two officers.
The man had his arms and hands bandaged after he reportedly injured himself during the stabbing attack.
A number of young children were inside the home at the time of the attack, but were not injured.
Investigators said the motive for the attack is not yet known and the investigation is ongoing.
