ESA Gaming Enters Portuguese Online Casino Space with Casino Portugal
Malta-licensed online casino games provider ESA Gaming has made its first foray into the Portuguese online gambling market through a recent deal with local operator Casino Portugal.
Under the terms of the deal, ESA will provide its new partner with access to its EasySwipe titles, including top performer Fruit Staxx. The agreement will also see Casino Portugal’s online players later gain access to the supplier’s upcoming new games, including the several releases it has scheduled for this year.
Casino Portugal is one of the leading operators in the Portuguese iGaming market. The company offers both casino and sports betting services through its pioneering proprietary platform. It has a long history in Portugal’s land-based casino field and went live with Internet gambling shortly after the reorganization of the local market in the spring of 2016.
As mentioned above, this new partnership enables ESA to debut its products in this fast-growing market. The deal follows the successful completion of a certification process that paves the way for the provider to strike further partnerships with operators licensed to provide their services in the Portuguese iGaming space.
The local market recorded an impressive 58% growth in the fourth quarter of 2020 and online slots accounted for 71% of overall gameplay, which definitely indicates it is a great time for ESA to venture into Portugal and benefit from the growth of the local iGaming field.
New Markets a Key Focus for Continued Growth
Commenting on their latest important announcement, Zorica Smallwood, Director at ESA Gaming, said that entering new markets is a key focus for the iGaming studio this year as they look to further expand the reach of their products.
Ms. Smallwood went on to say that the Portuguese market boasts great potential and they are excited to “make inroads into the country together with Casino Portugal, a leading and highly regarded local operator.”
ESA Gaming is an independent Malta-based and licensed online casino games maker with a focus on crafting mobile-first products. The company received its license from the Malta Gaming Authority earlier this year, a milestone that enabled it to expand in multiple jurisdictions.
