SOFTSWISS, the leading online gambling software provider, has recently celebrated another important achievement in its international expansion strategy.
The company received in August a license by the Games of Chance Administration at Serbia’s Ministry of Finance and Economy that enables it to organize “special games of chance through electronic communication means” in the Southeast European country.
With this recently obtained accreditation in Serbia, SOFTSWISS has become the first locally licensed company to operate exclusively online.
In a press release on its official website, the company said that as a condition to being issued its Serbian license its software platform was assessed and certified by a competent state-run laboratory. The newly obtained permit enables the software firm to provide its services in Serbia for a 10-year period.
SOFTSWISS further said that it would soon unveil the first online casino brand that it would power and operate in Serbia with a partner company.
The project is still under development, but the company confirmed that it would incorporate locally popular online payment methods as well as a monitoring and information exchange system with the local gambling regulator, the Games of Chance Administration.
Serbia has become the third regulated market SOFTSWISS has secured its entry into since the beginning of the year, with Nigeria and Greece being the other two.
The company was issued a Nigerian license this past spring and obtain its Greek one from the Hellenic Gaming Commission in August.
Another Important Step
Commenting on their latest important announcement, SOFTSWISS founder Ivan Montik said that entering the Serbian market marks another important step towards “strengthening and expanding the SOFTSWISS brand in Europe.”
Mr. Montik elaborated that they are the first purely online gambling company in a market where all existing digital operations have grown out of the classic land-based casino model, and that with more than a decade of experience in online entertainment and having a “strong team, energy, drive and innovative approach in our DNA I can say that SOFTSWISS will deliver the best online solutions for operators and players in the market.”
The provider’s founder further pointed out that 2021 has been a notable year for several big milestones that have enabled his company to gain foothold in several local markets where it sees great growth potential.
SOFTSWISS recently completed a rebrand and its logo text and brand name is now spelled in caps in all official press releases and marketing materials. The company said that the move aimed to reflect its leading position in the online gambling market and its vision to maintain this position.
