Gambling software powerhouse Scientific Games has further bolstered the online casino content available on its OpenGaming platform by recently inking a deal with fast-growing content maker Hacksaw Gaming.
Under the terms of this deal, OpenGaming will host Hacksaw’s mobile-first online slots and instant win games and distribute them in regulated markets around the world.
Hacksaw’s products will initially go live with OpenGaming operator partners in the UK and other markets next month. In addition, the games are slated to be exclusively provided in the US and Canada via OpenGaming with their rollout in these two markets set to take place later this year.
Hacksaw and Scientific Games will also be working together on crafting an exclusive online slot and instant win game that will both be available only to operators using the OpenGaming System (OGS). The two titles will be released later this year.
Based in Malta, Hacksaw Gaming was formed with the mission to rethink classic casino games. The company’s original products were reimagined scratch cards, but it has recently begun building a more diverse portfolio that also includes online slots and high-fixed prize games. The studio currently boasts an ever-expanding portfolio of more than 60 Malta- and UK-licensed titles.
With a mobile-first approach, all of its games were designed to adapt to even the smallest screen and to work equally well on any mobile and desktop device.
Integration Completed in Record Time
Scientific Games said that the full integration of Hacksaw’s content with its OpenGaming ecosystem was completed in the record time of just five weeks. OGS customers are scheduled to gain access to the products in August.
Of this important new deal, Hacksaw Gaming COO Marcus Cordes said that teaming up with Scientific Games, one of the industry’s largest content distribution networks, is a huge milestone for his company and that “being able to deliver content through one channel to multiple operators with international presence will help with our growth strategy in the years to come.”
Mr. Cordes went on to say that as a fairly new industry player, it is really great to know that leaders in the sector want to work with them and see the potential of their games for their operator partners.
Dylan Slaney, SVP Gaming, Digital at Scientific Games, said that the deal with Hacksaw assists them in their mission to “bring the widest variety of ground-breaking content into the OpenGaming ecosystem” and that with the studio’s “strong offering of scratch cards and slots games, the partnership provides operators with the ability to differentiate their product offering, using our powerful platform in order to appeal to new players.”
Hacksaw recently went live with 888casino, the online casino operation of major digital gambling operator 888 Holdings, while last year the studio integrated its content with another leading industry platform provider – Microgaming.
