Gambling technology giant Playtech has secured a long-term lease for its first Live Casino studio in the state of Michigan as well as in the US.
The new facility will feature Playtech’s Live Casino technology and will mirror the video capabilities of the provider’s flagship live dealer studio in Riga.
Playtech’s technology enables it to deliver integrated Live Casino content across both retail and digital channels and across various product verticals. Its future studio in Michigan will offer bespoke areas for operator dedicated gaming tables as well as networked tables. The new facility will expand continuously as Playtech continues to grow and strengthen its US footprint.
The Live Casino studio will be located in the Michigan City of Southfield, which is fast turning into the state’s biggest technology and innovation hub. The location of the facility has already been given the green light by the state’s gambling regulator.
Playtech said Monday that its new Live Casino venue will offer both live dealer gaming experience and its gameshow-style content to the fast-growing Michigan online gambling market. It will also create employment opportunities for Southfield residents, the provider further pointed out in a press release announcing the latest development in its US expansion effort.
The Latest Important Milestone
Commenting on the launch of their Live Casino studio, Playtech Chief Operating Officer Shimon Akad said that the new facility is “the first step in our US Live expansion” and that they plan to deliver such venues in all states where this type of offering is legal and regulated.
Mr. Akad went on to say that their Michigan studio is “being designed to be one of the more sophisticated studios tailored to the US market” and that it will be offering innovation and entertainment at its best.
Of creating new employment opportunities in their host community, Mr. Akad said that they pride themselves in “being a key member of all our communities” and that they are thrilled to be bringing new jobs as part of their expansion across the US.
The announcement about Playtech’s first US Live Casino studio comes as the latest important milestone achieved by the company in its US roadmap. The provider’s journey into the US kicked off last summer when its online casino content went live in New Jersey with bet365.
Playtech has since then penned a number of partnerships with locally licensed operators in an array of regulated states. Not long ago, it unveiled a content delivery deal with Parx Casino that will see it provide its new operator partner with access to a wide selection of products from its IMS Platform. The delivery of games and related products will commence once the casino launches its online product in Michigan.
