Online casino games developer and supplier Playson has partnered with digital gambling operator Fonbet to strengthen its footing in Greece’s regulated market.
Fonbet, a European operator, recently obtained a license from the Hellenic Gaming Commission to conduct iGaming and sports betting activities in the recently reorganized Greek gambling space and is gearing up preparations to go live in the market soon.
This new partnership will enable Playson to expand its presence in Greece while also strengthening its operator partner’s offering there. The deal will see the supplier launch 30 of its games with Fonbet in the Greek market, including hit titles such as Legend of Cleopatra Megaways, Hand of Gold, and Hot Coins: Hold and Win.
News about the recently formed link-up between the innovative content maker and the ever-growing operator emerge shortly after Playson announced that it has been issued a Manufacturer’s Suitability License by the Greek gambling regulator.
Greece’s new regulatory regime took effect on August 1. Among other things, it introduced certain limits to the provision of iGaming services including a cap on the maximum bet on any online slot of €2 per spin and a cooling off feature that prevents players from starting a new spin for a period of three seconds.
Delighted to Support Fonbet in Greek Launch
Of their partnership with Fonbet, Playson CEO Alex Ivshin said that they are delighted to be working alongside the operator and support it as it looks to launch its services in the Greek market.
The supplier’s chief went on to say that this new deal once again demonstrates the trust that new operators place in Playson’s games to drive player engagement and retention. He further pointed out that their content already enjoys great popularity with players across multiple regulated European markets and is “forming a strong player base in Greece”, as well.
Yannis Zafiratos, Vice President at Fonbet.gr operator Plumo Limited, said that joining forces with “experienced and prominent game developers such as Playson” is an important strategic move when entering a new market and that they are confident the studio’s content will enable their brand to attract a large volume of customers in the Greek iGaming space.
Playson specializes in the development of online slots and other related products for the iGaming industry. The company’s portfolio currently includes more than 75 omni-channel titles that are available in over 18 regulated markets. It is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission, the Romanian National Gambling Office (ONJN), and the Hellenic Gaming Commission, and has a recognition notice from the Malta Gaming Authority.
